We spent months working on a solution of having power when camping instead of using the Jimny’s starter battery, so this is what we decided on!
Hopefully this blog will help you decide on what might work best for you, if not, hopefully you may learn something new.

We are massive music lovers and we can not go on a road trip without music, especially good quality sound!
We experimented with many different solutions until we finally worked out what worked best but at the same time we didn’t want to break the bank by getting too carried away. So here’s what we did!
(This is a rough guide to give you an idea of what you could do rather than it being a step by step instruction page)

Once again, the Jimny is lost in the middle of a group of Wranglers! However, this time there is 6 of them and we are heading to a lovely part of the Lake District to explore some amazing views and to chill around campfires.

We had started the year off with the intention to explore more and go on as many trips as we possibly could. We started off the New Year in Stirling, then headed down to Newcastle on the way home, we had explored Lumsdale Falls and Middle Black Clough Waterfall and finally was ready to start getting out camping as the weather had started to improve, until, Corona hit! As I am sat here now writing this blog whilst being confined to the house, I can’t help but think back to the last trip we went on before lockdown! It was the weekend right before Boris announced that we had to stay at home, we decided to go to Betws-y-Coed in Wales as the weather in the UK was finally picking up and it seemed like we would have a nice weekend to go and explore a few lanes.
We love to listen to music everywhere we go and because we spend a lot of time in the Jimny travelling, poor speakers just wouldn’t cut it! So that was the first thing that had to be modified.
The Suzuki speaker upgrade kit didn’t quite look appealing in my opinion as things just have to fit as accurately as possible! So as usual a custom modification was required, which actually works out cheaper and looks a lot neater.
In this post you can find all the modifications and accessories we have used on this Jimny.
